Panagia Tou Sinit Monastery is an abandoned monastery that is located on the banks of the river Xeros in the Paphos region.  This central nave of the Panagia Tou Sinit Monastery dates back to the 16th century and is still today in remarkably good condition mainly due to some excellent restoration work.  Considered to be one of the most important buildings of the Venetian period in Cyprus, the Panagia Tou Sinti Monastery also received the Europa Nostra award for the restoration and conservation work that has been carried out.

When you visit Panagia Tou Sinit Monastery you can avail of a guided tour and you get the opportunity to look around this atmospheric structure and take photographs if you wish.  The monastery was beautifully restored by Unesco and is today a World Cultural Heritage Site and it is also easy to see why in 1997 it received the Europa Nostra award. The building has been beautifully restored and looks great.

Located on the banks of the river Xeros, the Panagia Tou Sinti Monastery is surrounded  by some of the most untouched and tranquil lands on the island of Cyprus and is a great  location for memorable photographs, or just a place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of city life in Paphos.
